A. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

  • Students should keep the campus clean.
  • Loitering in classrooms, corridors, and sitting on staircases are prohibited.
  • Students should keep the noise level as low as possible when interacting with others.
  • Students should positively carry their identity card on campus at all time.
  • Students should be punctual in their class attendance. A student must attend at least 60% of the total number of classes held and a student having less than 60% attendance will not be allowed to appear at the concerned Semester Examinations.
  • There is no dress code or uniform but students should be decently dressed.
  • Use of mobile phones is prohibited during class hours.
  • College property, furniture, library books, practical instruments, etc. must be treated with due care.
  • Students are required to check regularly the College website and Notice Board for important announcements.

Anti-Ragging Rules

  • We are guided by the Supreme Court and UGC’s advocated guidelines for curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions (Regulation 2013). Students are required to adhere to the anti-ragging rules that are in force in campus.
  • Indulging in or abetment of ragging is a punishable offense and may lead to expulsion from the college.
  • The college has an Anti-ragging Committee which oversees the any ragging offence.

B. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR TEACHERS

  • Teachers must be aware that their class load is 14 hours per week for Associate professors and 16 hours per week for Assistant professors and in addition to administrative and examination related works as and when required or guided by the principal.
  • Teachers are expected to be present on the college campus at least 30 minutes before any Examination starts in the college campus for which his/her duty is assigned.
  • A Teacher should not discriminate against any student based on religion, race, caste, gender, language, or political ideology.
  • Teachers should work for the holistic development of all their stakeholders (example, students, administrative section) and be punctual in their attendance.
  • A teacher should not remain absent from duty without the proper sanction of leave.
  • Teachers should sign the attendance register while reporting for duty.

C. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR GOVERNING BODY

All the Members of the Governing Body should be unbiased and impartial in their decision-making

D. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PRINCIPAL

  • The Principal should be impartial and unbiased in his/her functioning.
  • He/she should treat all his staff equally.
  • He/she should be guided by the motto of the parent University as well as UGC and Government.

E. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR NON-TEACHING AND SUPPORT STAFF

  • Carrying identity card is compulsory while inside the campus.
  • They should be student-friendly and work for the all-round development of the college.
  • They should be punctual and regular in respect of carrying out their assigned work and always be ready to upgrade themselves technically for the betterment of the college.
  • They should try to keep the campus clean and noise-free as far as practicable.
  • They should not remain absent from duty without the proper sanction of leave.
  • They should sign the attendance register while reporting for duty.
