Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell

Grievance Redressal

Grievance Redressal in Indian Colleges and Universities is a management and governance related process to address general grievances raised by the students time to time. This approach primarily covers the receipt and processing of complaints from students. However, a wider definition of it includes taking actions on issues raised by them, so that they can avail any service more effectively in the academic institutions.

There is an active Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) at Mahishadal Raj College.  It is comprised of eleven members with the Principal as the Chairman and Prof. Samir Kumar Patra as the Convener. A grievance form is available at the College Office (and in this Website as well) for the students to lodge a grievance. Generally the members of this Cell attempt to settle a grievance within seven working days. However, it may consume more time depending on the gravity of the grievance. The members meet two times a year to discuss various students’ related issues and supposedly become more active as and when requires.

The Cell is comprised of the following members at present:

  1. Principal / TIC– Chairman
  2. Prof. Samir K Patra– Convener
  3. IQAC Coordinator
  4. Prof. Amitava Mistry
  5. Dr. Nirmal Chakraborty
  6. Dr. Subhamoy Das
  7. Dr. Nabanita Bag
  8. Sri Nandan Das
  9. Sri Biswajit Ghosh
  10. Sri Mridul Das Bayen
  11. Students’ Representative
